Furthermore, the water supply is projected to increase further by December 2025 upon the completion of our new 3rd Rapid Sand Filtration (RSF) facility in Cortes. We are pleased to share that our Loctob Water Treatment Plant was officially commissioned on June 13, 2025, following the successful connection to the BOHECO I transmission line. We truly understand and appreciate your patience as you await the restoration of our water supply. However, as part of the standard commissioning process, we conducted a thorough leak test to ensure that the system is safe, secure, and reliable for long-term use. During this procedure, we identified a leak caused by high pressure, which necessitated immediate action to preserve the structural integrity of our pipelines. In response, we commenced re-piping and repair activities to address the issue and maintain the quality and safety of our water distribution system. The re-piping works are expected to be completed within the month of July 2025. We are working diligently to complete the necessary repairs within schedule, and we appreciate your understanding as we undertake these critical improvements. We would like to address recent concerns raised regarding the turbidity and overall quality of our water supply. After promptly investigating the issue, we discovered that some consumers have installed TEE-CONNECTIONS linking our pipeline to another water service provider. Unfortunately, this setup has resulted in backflow, allowing water from the other source to enter our system. This has directly impacted the quality of our water and may pose a risk to consumer safety. We strongly remind everyone that using a TEE-CONNECTION to connect to another water service provider is ILLEGAL and STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Dual water service connections may be allowed, but the pipelines of each provider must remain entirely separate to maintain water safety and quality.
