We would like to inform all our valued consumers that we are currently experiencing intermittent operations at our Loctob Water Treatment Plant due to a major technical issue affecting our high-pressure pipeline located from Purok 2 to Purok 6, Jimilian, Loboc. Our team has been conducting continuous leak repair activities, and because of this, low water pressure or interruption may be experienced in some of our distribution areas. The issue has been traced to a material failure in the pipeline supplied by our contractor. To address this situation, we have initiated both short and long-term solutions: Short-Term Solution: Ongoing replacement of the 1.3 km high-pressure pipeline to stabilize water pressure and minimize service interruptions. Long-Term Solution: Installation of a parallel pipeline to ensure operational redundancy and prevent a total shutdown of the Loctob Water Treatment Plant in the future. PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT (ALL DISTRIBUTION AREAS) Please be informed that an emergency shutdown was conducted last night due to the earthquake and the subsequent power failure that affected our operations. These unforeseen events temporarily forced us to halt water service in order to address the faults caused by the earthquake and outage. However, we are pleased to inform you that operations have already resumed, and we are currently working on the build-up of pressure within our pipelines to fully normalize supply. In addition, please be advised that our road-cutting and interconnection activity at Causeway Bridge, originally scheduled for completion at 12:00 midnight, was extended early this morning at around 7:50 AM due to the heavy rains experienced in the area. As of now, water service has been restored, and pressure is in the process of stabilizing across our network. We are pleased to inform you that water supply improvements in Panglao, Dauis, Tagbilaran, and surrounding areas are expected to begin on July 23, 2025, as additional water from Loboc will start to flow. By August 28, 2025—once the repiping of our thick SDR 9 HDPE pipes is completed (God willing)—the Richli potable water supply is expected to stabilize. Furthermore, the water supply is projected to increase further by December 2025 upon the completion of our new 3rd Rapid Sand Filtration (RSF) facility in Cortes.
